The judges citation in the award to The Puffer says: ‘A business with a difference that lies at the heart of the tiny island of Easdale, once a centre of slate quarrying, just off Scotland’s west coast near Oban. The Puffer takes its inspiration from the Vital Spark-like cargo boats which provided a lifeline to coastal communities, just as it does now on its own island. The business serves locals, tourists and holiday home owners, provides meeting facilities and is hooked into all aspects of the current campaign to revitalise the area’.
The team at The Puffer have asked us to pass on: ‘Huge thank you to all our wonderful customers, near and far and especially on Easdale Island, who have helped us win this award. Your support has been amazing’.
